CHRISTINA’S FOUR STAR REVIEW

Oh. My. Ever-loving. Gah!!!!!!! This book had me all over the place emotionally. Why? Because…well…there is SOOOOOO much going on in this that it’s hard NOT to feel for these characters. And when I mention characters, I mean ALL OF THEM!!!!!!!

Let’s start with the two characters this book focuses on; Gabe and Ivy. If you’ve read the previous book (Treachery), then you know that Gabe’s nickname is Fraud. It’s easy to understand why. He’s a damn good liar and can easily make you believe just about anything. Some would even say that he’s the “good cop”, but his friends know the truth. In fact, Ivy knows the truth too, but only because she witnessed something she wasn’t supposed to. And THIS is where the fun and games started.

Ivy is the daughter of the Governor. She’s the pampered princess that’s been the thorn in Gabe’s side since before they were teenagers. And just when you think you understand Ivy…surprise!!!! There’s a whole new layer and depth underneath the girl people see in public. I mean, she has to be good at what she does in order to keep the fun and games going with Gabe, right? They’ve been playing the longest game of chess and it’s about time someone gets checkmated. Which one will it be?

While Gabe and Ivy play theirs games, the Inferno Boys are still trying to figure out what their fathers are looking for in order to get out from under their thumbs. Knowing that Ivy may have information that can help them only pushes Gabe harder in his games. But the fun really starts happening when Ivy pushes back. And so the games continue….

Have a mentioned that while Gabe and Ivy’s games are being played, there are other characters that get caught in the crossfire? And oh how funny those situations are. I literally laughed out loud numerous times…seriously EPIC!!! Speaking of the other characters, we still visit with Tanner and Luca, the rest of the Inferno Boys are still around causing mischief and we get to dig deeper in to the twins and Ivy’s best friend Emily.

Remember when I said that this book had me all over the place emotionally? Buckle up because you’re about to see for yourself why? I LOVE THESE GUYS!!!!!!
