Stephanie’s 4 Star Review:
I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.
Going Down Fast is the second book in the Billionaire Bad Boy series by Carly Phillips. The series is about three friends who’ve made billions and are steadily making more. In this particular edition the book focuses on Lucas. The IT genus who’s always felt second best to his big brother and bullied about being different his whole life. Lucas’ big brother was the football star. Mr. Popular. Their parents golden boy. So when Lucas decided to drop out of college and make billions in the tech world who knows if any of them really cared?
Lucas has always had a serious thing for his childhood friend Maxie. There was always something keeping them from being more than friends though. Remaining close friends always helped keep them in each others space, however.
Through some unfortunate but fortunate events Lucas and Maxie are given a second chance to see where things can go. Though if people really paid attention they may say it’s too soon, or strange and night right. You see…somethings are meant to be. Whether you expect it or not.
I enjoyed reading about these two characters. There were some secondaries in this particular book I could have strangled a time or ten but it all worked itself out in the end.
I hope you enjoy this book as well. It reads as a stand alone so no worries if you’re not caught up in the series yet!
