First of all this book is a dark bully romance. You need to heed the warnings that the author put in the book because it might contain some triggers for some people. I have to say that Knox is mean. A bully to the core and he is written that way. He’s not one of these “soft” bullies that you read and you think well was he really all that mean to her. Nope Knox is a true pro at the bully game and I have to say that when you pick this book up to read your going to be livid and then your not and I swear it was like riding a rollercoaster and experiencing every emotion that you possibly can. Knox is a guy that knows how to hate and his anger is real and the object of his anger is his new stepsister Aspen. Aspen is a really good girl and a fighter and knows from a very young age that she is the only person that she can count on. However now her world is turned upside down and she doesn’t want nor need a new dad or stepbrother. Especially not the ones she got. Her new stepbrother hates her with the passion of a thousands knives and her new dad…well you will see how he is. I’m not really sure how to describe him to you. And that is about all your getting out of me. I don’t want to give anything about this book away. I will say that it is one of the best bully books that I have read. Like I said I was all over the place emotionally and I sure didn’t lay this book down once I started. Just get it and read it. If you have never read Ashly Jade before you are in for a treat or if you have then you know that this book is going to be amazing.
