Synopsis

I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This is FL Jacob’s first novel and I was really impressed. I couldn’t tell that this was her first book and I loved the story and the writing. She really drew me in and made me connect with the characters. As I was reading I wanted to smack some of the stupidity out of a character and full out punch others.
Sabrina is a college student how majors in dance and has an abusive boyfriend. The more I read about the relationship with the abusive boyfriend and how it all started the more I wanted to smack some sense into her. Don’t worry she did have lots of drama and was broken from the relationship but she wasn’t one of the whiny characters. I wanted to smack her because I felt like she deserved better and why would she do that to herself. She runs into Caston Black at a frat party and he changes everything.
Caston Black is Mr. Black Hollywood the owner of men’s magazine. His is also tall, dark, rich, & handsome but he has some messed up issues of his own. His relationship with his family is a little different and at times strained to say the least. I wanted to punch his mother on more than one occasion. He saw Sabrina dance and wanted her for business reason but he didn’t expect the want he had for her after he rescued her at that party.
I won’t say much more so you can experience it for yourself. But this book is filled with some really hot scenes, romance, and a lot more drama and suspense than I expected. I loved it. It had me on the edge of my seat. This is one of those books where you squeeze in reading where er you can. I was reading while brushing my teeth, getting dress, making dinner, hiding in the bathroom at work sitting on the counter. I couldn’t get enough of the story and can’t wait for the next one to come out. I need more of these two like yesterday hahaha.

He set my hand on his thigh and returned his hands to the steering wheel. Feeling very brazen, I decided to move my hand up his leg. Coming into contact with his hardening length, I tightened my grip. His breath caught in the back of his throat and he stretched his neck. I am a mommy of two, wife to an amazing man, and full time employee. Life is crazy and my love for reading had fizzled over the years but thanks to a wonderful group of ladies that I met last year I started reading again. Their love for books turned me on to many great writers who I would have never discovered if I hadn’t started reading again!
I started writing for them. They brought out my love for writing that I haven’t seen in years. Starting this process was tedious and nerve wrecking, but my lovely ladies and my fabulous husband have inspired me to take my love for writing to the next step.
