This is the story of Rome and Elodie. She is such a good girl and never really goes out and does anything. She would rather be in a library studying than anywhere. But she is at a party. A party she needs to get out of because of Rome. She ends up lost and in a mess but a knight in shining armor saves her. She doesn’t know who it was. All she knows is that she is grateful. Now a year has past and her mom springs a boyfriend and marriage on her girls and in they move with Rome, his brothers, her sisters, and father. They are all one big happy family. She sees it as the worst thing that has ever happened because Rome is not good to her. Rome though has been through things that she is not aware of and this is his chance at revenge. Will he take it or will the Heartless Monster have a change of heart?
I love reading this book. I love Elodie and Rome. I loved her sister who was cracking me up at times and this story is one that you won’t be able to put down. Elodie is sweet and innocent and in a new town leaving everything she has ever known. She doesn’t make friends easily but the girl is super sweet and someone you can see yourself hanging out with. Rome is the star quarterback who has the chance to go to college to play ball. Scouts want him and he is riding high. Until he isn’t and my heart broke for him. He really is a good guy under all the gruffness of it all. I really feel for him during the duration of this book. I just knew there was someone amazing under what he wanted to world to see. This book will also have you one the edge of your seat. You do not want to miss it.
