What he did’t expect is Emma Danvers, As Sam and Emma get to know one another, Sam must decide if he is willing to put his heart at risk again, and once Emma learns about all of the terrible things that Sam has done will she still want him or will she see him as a monster? Or will happiness be ripped away by the deadly obsession of another?
I must admit that when Cassia announced that we were all going to be mad at her when we finished the book, I was nervous. However, she couldn’t have been more wrong. The story is written perfectly!! I can’t wait for Lincoln Hospital!!!

Repentance is the final book in Cassia Brightmore’s Darkness Series. It’s also included in the Hearts and Daggers Anthology. If you’ve not read any books in her Darkness series your really missing out and should read them They will blow your mind.
Sam Ridley is a former Deputy Sheriff who suffered a devastating loss. With his need for revenge came a slip into the dark side and a ten year prison sentence. Now out on an early parole he’s looking for redemption. Not wanting to subject himself to the thoughts and judgement of got her in the town he use to live in, Sam moves to Tennessee to start his new life.
Emma Danvers lost her parents at a very young age and has a huge dream A dream she’s determined to make come true. If only her Uncle, who controls the family fortune, would trust her she could make her dream come true. After a ultimatum, Emma reluctantly agrees to go for a job interview. Heading straight to Sam’s door.
As with any Cassia Brightmore book, you better buckle up and hold on because you know your in for a wild ride. Repentance does not disappoint!! She has this way of drawing you into a story and not letting you go to the very end, the landing is usually bumpy but so worth it. I love dark and gritty with a side of love and lust if that sounds like your kind of read then grab this story and enjoy I have always had a soft spot in my heart since reading Malevolent for Sam I was excited to see where he was going to go and what was going to happen.
Remember Cassia is the queen of all this Darkness kingdom and she spares you none of the freak outs she knows she’s going to cause. Read with caution because she’s fearless in her writing and subject matter. Bring on Lincoln Hospital!! I’m beyond ready for the new series. I can’t wait to see how hard Cassia blows my mind.
