This is a dark romance and it might contain some triggers for some people so you need to heed the warnings. I also have to take a moment to say what a cover. I love it and think it is a real beauty and I don’t say that two often but I love this one. This is the story of Bella and Callum who were in the Webster House which is a foster home for youth. The two of them were great friends and they made a pact that they would do anything and everything they could to be adopted together. Always together that was how they wanted their life to be. But that is not how it went and Bella leaves Callum without a single word. No goodbye, no nothing and that was the end of always together and he is never going to let her forget it ever. Fast forward twelve years and Bella has the job opportunity of a lifetime which involved packing up getting on a ferry and going to an island to a castle that is being renovated. It is very secluded and a lonely place that certainly has not cell service at all. Little does she know that Callum is the one that is getting her to his island and he is going to make her pay for leaving him without a word. He is not the same boy that Bella knew and left and he is going to take everything from her. She has no idea how the man that she knew as a boy has changed and lived through things that have made him a man that you do not cross or you will pay for it forever. I don’t want to tell you anymore about this story and I don’t want to ruin anything forever and I sure think that you all need to read this book. It is an amazing book that I couldn’t put down. It is great and dark and I have to say super intense. Not at all what you think you are going to get when you read the blurb. This is one that you do not want to miss.
