I’m not gonna lie, this could be a hard book for some to read. Why? Because it revolves around the issue of suicide and what it does to every single survivor left behind. If this could be a trigger for you, you may find this difficult at times.
Kendall was in love. She was in love with someone she honestly thought she’s be with forever. But reality slapped her hard in the face when the love of her life, gave up on life. Now? Now after three long years, she’s still having a hard time picking up the pieces of her life he took with him.
Wyatt is the brother of Kendall’s forever love. After his brother took his life, Wyatt became more than a rock for Kendall. They leaned on each other through the tough times and eventually crossed a line that neither one thought would or should happen. But was crossed the line really a bad thing?
I totally appreciated that the fact that Kendall’s character was real. As hard as dealing with tragedy can be, her inter turmoil (I felt) was true to nature. But I absolutely loved how Wyatt was the rock in this. No matter what Kendall threw at him, he never walked away or gave in.
Like I mentioned earlier, this could be a hard read for some. Dealing with suicide and unanswered questions can lead to other issues such as survivors remorse and depression. But if you have someone to lean on, someone to talk to and who listen to you, moving forward IS possible. Some may even say you could have your own happily ever after.
