The entire world is on the brink of finding out that nightmares are real.
An army of demons known as the Noctis is growing in strength. They control all manner of foul beasts and if not stopped soon, cities will burn, lives will end, and hope will be lost. The only thing standing in the way are the Journeymen; humans and supernatural beings united against the darkness. There is one known amongst men and the supernatural alike that you don’t f**k with; unless it’s on his terms. His name is Gage Crosse and he’s the best damn Journeyman around.
These are his adventures.
Author Note: The book is not a standalone; the series is written with one overarching plot; each book is like an episode of a TV miniseries. Seal of Solomon, Journeyman #2, expected October 2016.

Kim’s Review- 5 stars
Where do I begin first time Author Golden Czermak has exceeded all my expectation with Homeward Bound. When I was given this ARC I was expecting a good story. I was literally blown away this is absolutely an amazing story.
This is the first book in The Journeyman Series. Where you first met Gage Crosse ” the best damn Journeyman around”.
Homeward Bound is a thrill ride action packed adventures, good verse evil and the amazing love and chemistry between Gage, Adrienne and Joey. There is a host of characters in this story that play a very important rolls in how this fight will be won or loss. Gage as well as the other journeymen and supernaturals are in the fight of their lives to rid the world of the demons call the Noctis. These demons are so powerful like nothing they have ever encountered.
“The symbols awakened, sparking between the etched lines as he targeted the three closest demons, now kneeling on the ground, and flung the stones their way.
They twirled and whistled through the air, landing at the knees of each possessed man. The sparkling trails shot off to form stars before encircling them, each in their own individual traps.
The glowing pentacles leapt to life on command, closing upon their hostages like massive bear traps. The human receptacles were unharmed by the gnashing teeth, but the smoking darkness that poured out of their orifices broiled under the onslaught of lightning.
Stephanie’s Review
I received a copy from the author for an honest review.
I have two different reviews I will be posting for this particular book. A technical one and a personal one. The ratings will be two different ones but I will use the higher of the two for GR and sales outlets.
TECHNICAL REVIEW: 3 Stars
If you follow my reviews you know Paranormal is my favorite genre to read. I was so excited when this book was announced. It’s always exciting to come across new paranormal books. When I started this book I was disappointed. There are a few issues with some things an editor should have corrected as well as the flow was difficult to follow.
The flow is what might trip you up as well. I will implore you to keep reading. The story started to flow around the 40% mark and quickened thereafter. This is probably the case with most first time authors trying to find their grove and get their story out as quickly as they can as to not rest on their laurels writing it.
The story line is one of a human man (Gage) who is apart of a group called Journeymen to rid the world of demons trying to takeover, and his human friends (Joey & Adrienne.) They have worked together in slaying the monsters out to harm humans. Gage being the most feared as his kill record is renowned.
As the story goes along multiple characters and points of view are given from both demon, human, even vampiric characters. You might find yourself rereading a section or two to make sure you’ve got the line right. Keep plugging along. It will get better.
There is a twist at the end that will have you pondering what the heck just happened. What happened indeed.
Personal Review: 4 Stars
I was looking forward to reading this book because Golden is so creative and paranormal stories take so much imagination to create. As I said in the technical review I was disappointed in how the beginning of the book was flowing. I kept putting this book “down” to read others in between. Since Golden and a colleague I wanted to finish this story.
Once I got to 40 some odd % though the story caught more of my attention. This is when I started messaging Golden during part of the story. Seriously – some of the things he came up with in this book might be shocking to you. I was laughing I was crying at Golden’s responses back to me in my :-O moment’s!
Golden has created the beginning of the end in Homeward Bound. It’s up to his characters to see the story through of course. There won’t be any boring about what’s to come. This introduction to The Journeymen brings all kinds of creatures into the story for your reading pleasure. Heart warming scenes and then some that might cause you to pause.
I loved picking out pieces of Golden in this story and asking if xyz in the story was Caylan Hughes – Golden’s muse for Gage. It’s always fascinating to me how much of the author is embedded in each of their stories. This one definitely has bits and pieces of a mix of people in the authors everyday life. If they read the story I bet they’ll be calling him with “HEY! That’s me!” HAHA! Always a fun time recognizing pieces of yourself in a story.
Virginia’s Review- 5 stars
Sometimes you sit down to write a review and have so many things you want to say you aren’t even sure where to start. This is Homeward Bound for me. Golden has blown me away- with the plot, with his writing, with his imagination, with everything. He did such amazing job, it’s hard to believe this is his first book.
Let me start by saying that Golden has converted me to the paranormal genre. Me. The romance reader. The lover of happily ever afters and things all nicey nicey. The one who doesn’t like violence. At all. Ever. Well Golden, you have changed my mind. The action, the adventure- I was hooked. I absolutely loved Homeward Bound. Everything about it.
Golden has created a world where demons, vampires and other make believe creatures live, as do humans. I’m in awe of the imagination, thought and creativity that went into this story. How Golden came up with some of this stuff I don’t know. But I do know he is to be commended. The plot is just amazing. Full of action and adventure, the journey that Cage, Adrienne and Joey take you on will have your heart racing and have you on the edge of your seat wanting to read more and more. You will be rooting for them to overtake evil. You will be dying to see what happens next. That said, don’t rush reading. Please. Homeward Bound is one book you want to take your time with. Absorb the words. Appreciate it. Enjoy it.
Aside from the amazing storyline, the writing is so detailed, descriptive and fluid you feel like you are in the story. I was impressed with the words used, with the phrases, with it all. It’s much more than words just thrown on paper.
The characters are amazing. Cage. Hello!! Can you say hot?? He’s so hot. Totally hot. And underneath that handsome face and massive exterior is a man with a huge heart. Adrienne and Joey are fabulous as well. I loved them both and I’m hoping we see more of Joey in future books.
I came away with a message from the book as well. A message about life, about not doubting ourselves, and about focusing on the positive. I’m not saying anymore- you have to read it.
Everything Golden touches turns to gold. Homeward Bound is no exception. It’s intense, witty, well written, thought out and full of action. It’s one journey you won’t forget. I cannot wait to read the rest of the series. Go pre-order Homeward Bound!! And I think I will go bug Golden right now about book 2. Think it’s too soon?
