Today our hot hero is Avery. He is a firefighter and paramedic. Let me tell you I love the firefighter and emergency medical services profession. They has a place close to my heart. My parents are retired fire fighters and they are both active EMTs. I know the passion people in the profession have for what they do for others and the sacrifices they sometimes need to make for that passion. I want to take this moment to thank all of the firefighters and emergency medical professionals for everything they do.

Review: 4.5 hearts
I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I really enjoyed this book it had romance and some drama but the drama wasn’t heavy. It was a fun fast read for me.
I love Avery he is the sweetest thing and he is so hot! He rescued Emily after she was in a car accident and then she asked him to stay with her. Then the attraction was so strong he went to see her in the hospital/ I loved that he was so sweet and brought her fast food into the hospital to get to know her. It was so low key and special at the same time. The attraction just grew from there and he was the sweetest guy ever to her *swoon*.
I loved how Emily and Avery had such a hot connection but also that she was fun and a little fiesty with him. It cracked me up that they barely knew each other and she slipped that surprise into his lunch. Then they were there to support each other in really tough times. She helped him through the loss of his mother and other family issues and he was there for her when times got scary. They got home from dealing with the death of his mother and there had been an intruder in her house. Then she found that someone was stalking her. The question is was the stress of a stalker going to keep them apart? Would Avery he her hero again or would the stalker win? Read it and see for yourself.

Hot Heroes Interview:
Tell us a little bit about yourself.
Welp, I am a smart ass, sarcastic, mother of three. I live in Florida, which is a whole new thing for me since I was born and raised in Connecticut, where I lived (for most of my life) until April of this year. No one takes me too seriously, even my own kids. I also like to consider myself the life of the party.
Do you have a day job other than being an author?
I sure do. I am a social media marketing consultant, and full time blogger. Well I should say was a full time blogger until earlier this month. I scaled back my workload to focus on my writing more.
Name one funny trait you have, that you would like others to know.
I am a black belt in Karate. No joke.
What made you want to become a writer?
I love to write. Between you and me, I used to think fictional writing was stupid, until I became a romance novel junkie. Then, it was all just second nature.
When people look at me, they would never guess that I:
Am over the age of 21.
Tell us about your book.
I have written two thus far. My first novel, Take Me Out is your typical bad boy meets good girl. I am planning to re-write this in 2014. It was my first work, and while some love it, I feel as though I was just too inexperienced. As for Crashed, it was my baby. I have a thing for firemen, and when we moved to the Daytona Beach area, I noticed quite a few of them are hunks. So, Crashed was born. It is a sappy, happily ever after love story with a few suspenseful twists and turns. It is also the first book in a series (The Beachside Firemen). The follow up is expected very early in 2014.
I loved Crashed. What was your favorite character or part of the story to write?
I loved writing Becca. She is just so damn sassy, and hysterical. The stuff that comes out of her mouth keeps you saying… HUH?
Crashed is full of HOT firefighters. Do you have a special connection to the firefighting/Parametric field?
I do! For four years while we were living in Connecticut, my husband actually served as a volunteer fireman in our community. (Which is 100% volunteer) Over that time, everyone in the Shelton Connecticut fire department became family to us. Which is why Crashed is dedicated to our Echo Hose Hook & Ladder Company #1 family back in Connecticut.
The day to day schedule and activities of professional firefighters are very different from most people’s schedules. Did you do research at a real fire house to get all the details right?
Yes, many fire departments and services create their shifts differently. Some are volunteer, some aren’t. (But let me assure you that the vast majority in America ARE volunteer! 76%+ of departments) While the shifts in the book may reflect some areas, some may be completely different. It all depends on the way they do things.
This is book one in the series. So how many hot firefighters do we get to fall in love with?
That is up in the air. I mean, there are just so many HOT firemen in the Daytona Beach fire service that we don’t know where it will ever end! The next book, Never Too Late which is due early next year is the story of Captain Brendan Sullivan and Amelia, Emily’s sister. They are older, and both looking for love later on in life, after overcoming some serious issues in life. It is a deep novel.
After Never Too Late, will come the story of Tom and Becca. Who knows, by then we may have a couple more hot firemen looking for love. But at this moment, those are the other two in the series I have planned out, and will for sure be writing.
