Review: 4 Stars
In Between Seasons was very addicting. I was always trying to figure out what was going to happen next as well as what the truth is. I was always fascinated to figure out bits of the truth along with Kate.
I really enjoyed the story and it was a change from the other books I have been reading lately with the apocalyptic aspects to it. The story is filled with mystery, suspense, action, and romance. I liked that it is a romance but teens could enjoy the story as well.
I loved the main characters and their connection. He was supposed to kill her but he didn’t because she wasn’t afraid of him. They were both victims to this stupid war and way of living that their fathers had forced them into. She was left in the dark and made naive in a way while he was force to play an active roll and be hard.
The effect they had on each other was lovely to read. She made him softer and I loved seeing the way he acted around her and how sweet he was to her. He was so playful but protective. He made her stronger because he gave her honesty, confidence, and he taught her how to fight. She had the strength all along he just helped to bring it out of her.
This is an amazing story great job Cassandra!
