BOOK BLURB Heโ€™s a criminalโ€”an abomination. Weโ€™re wrong in every way. If only I couldโ€™ve convinced my heart. ย  His lips whispered promises of all the stars in the sky. I dreamt of a love that would last forever. We were gorgeously young and desperate for one another. But weโ€™re star-crossed. Fate had decided our course. Leaving us to cling to each other as we crumbled to ash. His need became possession. My innocence turned jaded. Our families declared war. All that remained was hate. But Calder was raised by wolves. The rules didnโ€™t apply. I was his until he said otherwise–for better or for worse. Our love storyโ€™s bathed in crimson and drenched in bullets. Because sometimes, Romeo comes with tattoos, guns, and a taste for blood.

Renee’s Five Star Review

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.
This is a dark romance and it holds some triggers that you will want to consider if you have them before you start reading. This is also the story of Calder and Sutton. Sutton is the daughter of a Senator and has been raised to be the proper young woman and she knew just how to act for the public but she is almost a senior in high school and has these amazing friends Piper and Aubrey. They try to get her to experience life and they thing the son of a prominent family is the guy she should go for. Much to her surprise her father is all for it because the Senator has eyes on being the President one day. But this is just a peep at Sutton. She is the girl who you think has the perfect life when all she really wants is to be loved by someone. Not even her parents really show her love and that really broke my heart for her. One day though at the park three guys show up that look nothing alike but she finds out they are brothers. One in particular catches her eye and it’s love at first sight for her. Calder Wolfe was raised on the wrong side of the tracks but is now in her town and it is rumored that his family is with the Irish mob and come to fill their streets with chaos. She knows she should never feel this attraction to him and has no idea if its mutual but he really makes her see Hunter for who he is and Calder for who he really is. A man that has a dark side and is not a good man because of how he was raised and the life he was raised to live. That’s about all I am going to say about the book. I am so terrified of spoiling something but I figured a little background on the character’s wouldn’t be a spoiled. Now on to how I felt about this book. I was hooked. From the first moment I read the first words of the first chapter I knew that I was going to be hooked and not be able to put it down. I don’t know that my poor heart was prepared for everything that was going to happen in this book. I will make you giggle because who the heck wouldn’t love to be a senior almost in high school and do it all over again. I had my heart in my throat in places, I wanted to punch some people, I hated a few of these characters, I went on this rollercoaster ride and left my heart up at the top because the plunge was so steep I just about lost it. I am telling you that you are going to fall in love with Sutton and Calder. I mean there is just no way that you can’t. You’re going to go on their journey with them and your going to be right beside them feeling all the feels they do this book is so well written. Like a little movie playing in your head as you go. I loved it. Every single second of it. I wouldn’t change a thing if I could about this book beside maybe just maybe having to wait to find out what the heck happens next. I mean woooooooow. It’s one of the best books I have read this year. I think everyone should get it and fall just as hard as I did into this story.
