Book Description:

The long-awaited sequel to the bestselling, award-winning King Hall: the revolution is here, but the most dangerous attack may come from within…

The safe, comfortable world of Lily Ruckler and her fellow Mystical Kings and Queens is rocked to the core by the attacks at King Hall. Not only does Lily have to kill the Commoners attacking her people, she also has to assume the mantle of leadership, and bring the surviving Mysticals to King Cave.

It should have been too much, but she is not alone. Ezra becomes her rock, her best friend, the one person who understands. As Pearl and Jack struggle with inconsolable loss, Ezra and Lily work to keep the Mys community safe in their new home, and plan a deadly retaliation.

Their friendship saves them both…but it also draws attention. Whispers. Judgment. It’s not normal for Shifters and Vampires to be friends, and when a horrifying truth is revealed, their relationship morphs from unusual to unspeakable. Lily is good at keeping secrets that could get her killed. Is she willing to risk Ezra’s life as well?

Stephanie’s 5 Star Review:

So…I’ve been waiting several LONG months for this book’s release.  I absolutely LOVED King Hall and of course where Scarlett left us at the end I was like NO NO NO!!!  I messaged her at 2 am when I finished it and said how soon for book two?!  Now that I’ve read it…I’m ready for book three!  I was given King Cave in exchange for an honest review.

If you haven’t read King Hall please do not continue to read my review.  The beginning of King Cave recaps the story of how the Revolution started and why it was necessary for the Elders, Kings, Prodigies and their people flee to King Cave.  They were all present for an Awakening that didn’t happen because Commoners (humans) started a war with them at King Hall.  A school for the paranormal.

Feeling to King Cave found Lily and Ezra along with Jack and Pearl living in chaos.  They trained and worked along with the Elders & Kings to sharpen their fighting skills.  Lily & Ezra started seeing each other in a more than friends and adding benefits to their relationship.  Let me say here that this is a HUGE no no in their world, and they tried their best to keep it hidden.  Lots of drama in sues with the Kings, Elders, the war….and of course Lily & Ezra.

My eyes ate this book up.  I can’t say enough about this series.  Paranormal is my favorite romance subcategory though I read way more than just PNR. This series wraps it all up into one.  Scarlett Dawn has the ability to put you right in the heart of the story and makes you feel like you’re living it as you’re reading it.  Absolutely fantastic!

Laura’s 5 Heart Review:

I have to give King Cave 5 + hearts because I really stinking loved this book, this series, and Scarlett Dawn.

I was given an ARC in Exchange for an honest review

“I was in love with the man. I was in love with the private smile he graced only me with……I was in love with every one of his goddamn imperfections just as much as I was in love with everything perfect about him.”

King Cave is the book following King Hall and if you have not read King Hall it is a MUST that you read it first because King Cave picks up right in the middle of the action where King Hall left off.  I loved King Hall; I was caught up in the story, the action, and the relationships between the prodigies and even how they interacted with the kings.    Then came King Cave and oh my goodness I don’t think loved is a strong enough word.  I adored this book and I just wanted to jump into it and live in the cave.

Scarlett Dawn has done it again!  She continued on with the action and the amazing relationships between the characters however, there has been a shift in the relationships in this book because Jack and Pearl have lost their mates and Lilly and Ezra have to step up to help them get through the tough time.  There were so many amazing twists and turns in this story I felt like I was always gripping my kindle tightly trying to get what will come up next from it.

This one also gave me a few “tissue issues”.  This is my new term for when the story makes me cry like a baby.   She ripped out my heart and then just when I was about over it she ripped it out again.  I would have it ripped out all over again for this story.  It was full of suspense, love and friendships, action, and an ending that left me so angry and frustrated for the characters and wanting more of the story….like NOW.
