Renee’s Five Star Review

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

This is the third and final book in The Collector Trilogy. I am going to tell the truth and say that the first of this book hurt my little heart. If you have been reading this series you know that Daphne and Emerson do not have a conventional relationship. After all he was her stalker and the man thinks of everything as art in his head. Though he is a collector of priceless works of art. Daphne is a painter and Leo Morelli’s sister. He isn’t happy with the fact that Emerson has had his sister so we get to see him again in quiet a bit of this book. But these two are really in love and watching them be apart is not only painful for them but for the reader as well. I cried so many times for Emerson. It just broke my heart but I knew to not fret and be afraid this was never going to work out because after all Amelia Wilde takes the job of putting your heart back together after she breaks it very seriously. These two know each other really well and in book two we saw just how much and I loved that scene while a lot of people had a fit about it. But, please don’t let that keep you from reading this series. You would be making a mistake. After all love takes on many forms and I’m a firm believer that Emerson knew Daphne better than she knew herself in some way and only ever has her happiness in mind. But there is also some danger lurking in this book and I thought I was going to fall off my couch. I think that this was a beautiful series of a girl who was actually quiet lonely and only had her art and Emerson who only stayed lost in his mind when he is also and Daphne is his calm just like he is hers. I loved every single second and I for one am so glad that Amelia Wilde shared this amazingly beautiful work of are with all of us!!

Blurb:

Emerson LeBlanc lost more than an acquisition. He lost the woman he loves.

There’s no redemption for a man with his past. No future for a relationship built on stalking and kidnapping. At least that’s what he believes. When he meets Daphne again, she’s not a piece of art. She’s a woman determined to paint a new path. For herself. For him. Except the ocean holds more than shadows. It holds danger that could ruin them both.
