Listen Pitch by Lani Lynn Vale Release Review

Rhys Rivera is the star short-stop fro the Longview Lumberjacks. Many know him , even more love him. He has a pretty face, a quick smile and an air of danger about him that every seems to adore. He’s not known as the bad boy of baseball for nothing. It all started with his father who decided to be a criminal mob boss, then die. Fortunately for his uncle, Rhys wants absolutely nothing to do with the family business and runs before anyone can figure out which way is up. By the time his uncle, the successor to his father’s criminal empire, thinks to look for him, Rhys has made to big of a name for himself to be taken out quietly, and he wants to keep it that way. Fast forward eight years, and Rhys is living life one breath at a time, just waiting for the other shoe to drop. The shoe coming in the form of a nosy neighbor who has no idea just how hot she is in her mail carrier uniform. Her sweet little body and sweet little outlook on life make him want to laugh at how naive she is when it comes to the way of the world. The harder he tries to stay away, the weaker he seems to get, until one day he decides to put his morals on hold long enough to satisfy his cravings. One time is ll he needs-or so he tells himself. But then two pink lines change everything, and suddenly, he doesn’t have just himself to worry about anymore.

I absolutely loved this book. If you have read any of the other books in this series you know that they are great reads and Listen Pitch is my new favorite in the series now. It’s got everything a romance lover could want and Lani Lynn Vale just writes absolutely amazing books so there is that to look forward to. In this book you have a deaf girl, Henley, who is living her life the only way she knows how and volunteer at the hospital, helps her sister watch her child, and is just an amazing person. Then there is Rhys. Holy hotness he has it going on. He is a star baseball player, but he has had a childhood that he didn’t ask to be raised in and he keeps it a secret, until he can’t anymore. Then you have a mob boss who is after Rhys. Mix that all together and you have one fantastic book that your not going to be able to put down. I devoured it, actually. There is nothing that I didn’t love about this book.  When two people do what these two do for each other then you don’t have any choice but to have an amazing adventure. I do not want to give anything away about this book as it has some edge of your seat moments that will have you holding your breath. Baseball and Danger. What’s not to love. Grab this book and fall as in love with Henley and Rhys as I did. And by the way I am in love with the name Henley. I so would have named my daughter that name had I known it way back in the baby days.
