Lover is a standalone. I will warn you it involves couples who are swingers.
Piper Callahan is desperate. She has been married to her husband, Cannon, for four years, and she can feel her marriage slipping through her fingers. Some might go to a marriage counselor. Some might go on a romantic getaway. Is that what Piper does? Nope! She signs herself and Cannon up on a swinger’s website.
After suffering a career ending injury, West Holden finds himself at a crossroads. He isn’t sure of much, but he knows that he has to leave his beloved hometown of Boston. He and his wife, Tilly, move to her hometown in Florida. Tilly is very wild. She has always had strange sexual desires, so when she asks West about swinging, he agrees having no idea that this one decision will change his life forever.
I loved Piper and West. They were so sweet to one another, but boy were they ever some freaks in the sheets! I did not like Tilly or Cannon. They weren’t very nice people.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. Then why did I only give it a four star rating you ask? Well, that would be the cheating. It is a hard limit for me. I know it is all fiction, but we all have our likes and dislikes, and cheating is one of my dislikes. With that said, I found this book to be the perfect balance of sex and storyline. Some authors think that all we readers want is sex, sex, and more sex. What we really want is a great story, and, if it has some great sex scenes, that is just a bonus! It is obvious that when Marni Mann and Gia Riley come together to write, the end result is perfection.

Lover is a standalone novel from Marni Mann and Gia Riley. I will tell you it is about a swingers. Read at your own discretion if cheating in a book bothers you. Though, since it is mutual and their lifestyle I’m not sure I would call it cheating.
Piper and Cannon have been married for four years. Lately though Piper can tell that Cannon is distracted and their marriage is suffering for it. Even a vacation to Belize didn’t help anything. Piper is desperate to find a solution, anything to try to get back to where they were. She loves her husband and is missing the relationship they use to have.
West Holden was a hockey player in Boston and a concussion ended his career. He is lost and doesn’t know which way his life is going to go. He does know that he can not stay in Boston and be near the team knowing he can never play again so he and Tilly pack up and move to Florida where she is originally from. Tilly is a wild little thing and keeps Holden extremely satisfied in the bedroom but she likes to play and has no trouble sharing herself with other women until the day she asks Holden if he would like to switch it up with another couple. When West, Tally, Cannon and Piper are in the same room what is going to happen? Could this be the answer that Piper is searching for for her marriage?? Yes this book is about two totally different couples, their marriage and the time or twenty they deide to swing. I really loved Cole and Piper. They are so sweet when they are together and they both know that his will never just be swinging for them. Events happen secrets are spilled and I do believe my mouth hit the floor a few times. I so never saw some of the things that happen coming. This is a story about being happy in your life and your marriage. About two lost souls who didn’t realize how alone they were until their eyes met and a smile was flashed. This book is also sure to melt your kindle. This book brings the heat and it’s some amazingly well written kindle melting words. You do not want to miss this book. Keep and open mind because I have a felling that Lover will fool you and blow you away at the same time.
Marni Mann and Gia Riley have done an amazing job with this book. I could not tell you who was writing the male or the female point of view. Bravo too for the dual points of view. I love a male point of view. I think the world needs more books written from the male point of view actually. This is the second book that I have read and loved by Marni Mann and Gia Riley. I am so excited to see what these two have in store for us next.
