Menace is the fifth book in the Moonshine Task Force Series from Laramie Briscoe. I guess you could read this book as a standalone but I would recommend reading them all from the beginning as the characters overlap into each book. Menace is the story of Mason and Karina.
Mason aka Menace is a police officer and a member of the Moonshine Task Force and as we all know he if you have read the other books he is the single father of Caleb. We also know that Caleb had a hard time with the death of his friend due to bad moonshine and fell apart and started making horrible decision but turned his life back around thanks to Mason. Now Caleb is eighteen and getting ready to go off to college on her full ride to the University of Alabama. This spurs Mason on to trying to finally date. Mason of course became a father at sixteen and has basically grown up while with Caleb as he raised him so he is not looking forward to being along. When Caleb sets up a profile for him on a dating app he never expects to meet the girl of his dreams. Karina. She is the one and he knows it from the moment he sees her and their first date is explosive. It is filled with so much passion but then she will not return his calls. Unbeknownst to Mason though Karina is one of Caleb’s teachers and when they see each other again.
I loved this book so much and I have to say that Mason and Karina are probably my favorite couple out of this series. I have really liked a lot of them but I fell for Mason and Karina hard. You also can’t help but to fall for Caleb too and his book is next. I so can not wait to get my hands on this book.
