Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland are by far my favorite duo. I will read anything they write. Hell, it could be a shopping list written on toilet paper. They can do no wrong. And Mister Moneybags is definitely their best work.
Mister Moneybags starts all clever and witty, making you laugh out loud and wondering how they come up with some of these ideas. Then it has some twists I never saw coming and gets more serious, angtsy and emotional while still being as wonderful. Dex is just amazing. Everything about him is. Yes, he starts out sneaky in the beginning. But he really does have the best heart. He’s loyal, real and genuine and he means well. Some of the things he does for Bianca just had me melting. I don’t want to give them away here but I just really swooned. He is just so romantic and sweet. And don’t you worry. He’s cocky too. Which I love. Really love. And he’s sexy. Sexy as hell. God, I love him.
Bianca is beautiful inside and out. It’s hard for her to open up and trust. For one, she’s had some family issues in the past and second, Dex doesn’t start off on the best foot with her. They are absolutely amazing together, he would do anything for her and I love that. They have a slow burn that builds up and it’s amazing and beautiful to watch.
Dual point of view is always my favorite to read and Penelope and Vi do it so seamlessly. How is it possible to really have no idea who wrote which character or which parts? It’s really like one person wrote this book. It’s smooth and flawless and flows perfectly.
There are now words to express how perfect this book is. I mean that. It’s just amazing.
Ward and Keeland make me smile, they make me laugh, they make me swoon and fall in love. I love their work and cannot wait to see what’s next.
