Renee’s Five Star Review
When we were young, Samantha Anderson was the girl down the street. For as long as I can remember, she’s been my partner in crime, in adventures, and in almost everything. Sami is fun and sexy , my greatest confidant, and my best friend. From early on, we vow that our relationship will never change-through thick and thin, we’ll remain always and forever in the friend zone. We will not cross that line. After all, I’m not the forever kind of guy. Then that line blurs. We amend our agreement. Best friends become friends with benefits. Is this new agreement the key to our future? Or will I lose my best friend?
If you have read Aleatha Romig before than you know that she likes to mess with your mind most of the time. But she also has a lighter side and this is one of those books. This is a also a friends to lovers contemporary romance. This is so my favorite type of contemporary romance to read too. So I was so excited to get my hands on this book and it did not disappoint. This is the story of Sami and Marshall and I love that this book takes us back to the early days of their friendship and we get to see and learn so much about them. I loved getting to know them like the back of my hand and watching their friendship grow. I think the backstory in books is very important and sometimes we readers do not always get that, or if we do its a tiny glimpse into the past. They are the kinds of friends we all wish we were with someone until they become so much more. I loved watching all this take place and I loved all the angst and twists and turns in this book. It is one that you will not want to put down at all and will be reading to the very end. I loved it and highly recommend it for everyone.
