Never Been Ready by J. L. Berg ARC for review for SBR Street Team
Four Stars!
This is the second book in a series. I did not read the first one but this
was able to be read as a standalone. First things first, I will go back
and read the first book. That is a true testament to how much I enjoyed
this book.
Leah is a nurse who had a crappy childhood who falls for a movie star who
is best friends with a doctor who is married to her best friend who has a
daughter from her deceased husband…. There it is in a nutshell until you
get to about 62% and there is a fabulous twist in the story that captures
you and compels you to read straight through until the end.
If you are looking for hot sex, Leah and Declan sizzle in bed and you still
want to be their best friend! If you are looking for a book about love,
Leah and Declan give you warmth and gentleness and goodness! I’m a sucker
for an HEA and abhor cliffhangers. Needless to say I had a big smile on my
face at the conclusion! There definitely has to be another book for
Garrett!
I would absolutely recommend this book! I felt that there were some slow
moments that I needed to push through and I am so happy that I did! I will
definitely read more from J.L. Berg!
