This is the story of Briar and Cassius. Cassius should be on top of the world. He is the number one quarterback in college football and is on the way of living his dream of playing in the NFL. However, his parents are very rich and they want other things for him. They want him to meet and marry a girl with a trust fund that rivals their wealth and when he finishes college, join the family business and live happily ever after. Having enough of being hounded by them all the time he blurts out that he is already in a serious relationship with Briar. A girl that he is really attracted to and he knows or hope that he can talk into helping him pull this off. Briar had dreams until she survived a fire but destroyed her dream. She has thrown herself into her art. The only thing she really has left. When Cassius comes to her to help him by being his fake girlfriend he offers to help her with her knee rehabilitation. However, the more time these two spend together, the more they begin to see things in each other that really draw them to one another. However, Briar is in danger. Her past and present are about to collide. However, when Cassius finds out he is determined to keep her safe.
I loved reading this book. I loved these characters. They are utterly so perfect for each other. You do not want to miss this book.
