I have read Shayla and Jenna before so it was neat adding Isabella to the mix. I tried to see if I could tell the difference in who wrote which character. It was a bit difficult…they did a great job collaborating on this book. I like the characters together and the story line is one that moves fairly quickly.
Raine is the assistant to Hammer at the BDSM club, where she’s been since he rescued her from a world of homelessness. She has been in love with him for a long time but he’s always with other women of the club that are totally opposite of her. Hammer’s best friend Liam has a great idea to make Raine his and maybe that would bring Hammer to his senses. Liam didn’t count on truly developing feelings for Raine. She’s easy for a Dom to love – her submissive nature calls to them.
Now there’s some drama here – as you can imagine. Hammer doesn’t take well to Liam sniffing around “his girl.” Yet he doesn’t want anything to do with her because of some secrets in his closet. When those secrets come out Raine doesn’t act favorable toward him. I probably wouldn’t either. After all the time she spent working for him and he never told her the story. I would be skeptical as well.
This book is part of a trilogy and I am looking forward to seeing where they authors take this story. It’s very involved and there are different aspects to the characters weaving into the story line. I gave this novel 4 stars. I was given a copy of this book for an honest review by the authors.
