Payback’s a Bitch by Missy Johnson Release Review

I’m the girl who likes “the backdoor”. At least, that’s what the dating profile my so-called friends set up for me claims. I’m also into BDSM, Furries and I’ll try anything twice. I have no idea the profile exists until the replies start rolling in . They range from funny, to downright creepy and everything in between. Just as I’m shutting down my email account for good, a new message pops up. He’s funny and he’s the only one to suspect the profile is a joke, so I think what the heck? I reply. When he suggests that we meet, I say yes. When I walk into that bar, he’s sitting at a table, facing the other way. he turns his head just enough for me to be able to make out his face. Crap. It’s Cameron Hunter, on of the rudest, most arrogant butt heads I’ve ever had the displeasure of meeting. He’s also the son of one of the states most influential judges. The same judge who is about to become my stepfather.

If you have read a book in this Awkward Love Series then you know that they have humor in them. However this book is filled with the main female characters friends playing practical jokes on her all the time. I would have had a fit if my friends had ever done the things they do to me. Especially the fake dating profile that make her seem like a girl who will try anything. It really pulls the weirdo’s out of the woodwork. It also puts Darcy in some really awkward situations. However none could be worse than finding out her future stepbrother Cam is the only one who realized that profile had to be fake and in doing so caught Darcy’s attention and led to them agreeing to meet up. Darcy is not a fan of Cam and thinks that he is arrogant, selfish and just generally not someone that she is very thrilled to be around. However neither one of them likes to lose and take the word competition to a whole new level. This book will have you laughing out loud and swooning all in the same chapter. If you like funny romantic books then you are sure to enjoy Payback’s A Bitch.
