If you have read any of Bethany’s Kris previous books then you are familiar with the Commission World. If not then you will get your introduction in this book. This story in the beginning is told in both the past and the present forms. And I love that we get to know the Gigi and Lev and Gigi and Pink. As in the past they were different people with different names. These two couldn’t be more opposites to each other if they really had to try. He is an enforcer for the mob and she is a supermodel known all around the world. The poor girl can no where without getting recognized. But one thing never changes. When she is able to see Pink then he and she are just about going to be a sure thing. Now this is why I didn’t give this book five stars. Don’t get me wrong it is not a bad book in any way but I really really kept waiting on Pink to really pursue Gigi. He never really does. You never really give you the impression that he is crazy about Gigi. Like that lay your life down for your woman and do anything and everything to make her feel that you are truly her man. I just didn’t feel it at all. I felt like Gigi was the one who pursued Pink. She was the one that put forth all the effort. I am not saying that a man has to be the one to pursue a man but I would like to feel like he even really cared about what they were doing or her the real her and not the supermodel the world sees.
