Vegas is a city of illusions, and I’m losing track of my own.

The hand I thought I was dealt?

It’s flipped.

The tricks I thought I mastered?

They’re slipping through my fingers.

And betrayal cuts deeper than any sleight of hand.

We’re still chasing a ghost of a chance. The woman we need to take down is still untouchable—her power absolute.

And the evidence we need? It slipped away with the trust I shattered.

But the game isn’t over. The cards are still in play.

And as the lines blur between friend and enemy, truth and illusion, the deck keeps shifting.

Secrets unravel. Alliances fracture.

The game I thought I was playing? It’s changing right before my eyes.

Trust is a risk. Love is a gamble.

But when the final hand is played, will I win it all?

Or will I lose everything I’ve fought to keep?

Gathered Sparkle is a medium burn, instant spark, spicy, hurt/comfort, MFMMM why choose romance. It’s the second book in the Glimmer & Gleam Duet and can’t be read as a standalone.

Trigger Warning:

Please be aware that this duet contains some triggering content, including themes of grief and loss, a car crash, survivor’s guilt, and burn scars. Physical and emotional abuse are depicted, including threats, violence, gaslighting, parental neglect, emotional abuse, and body objectification.

Violence against the FMC by someone outside the harem.

It also explores self-destructive behavior, such as alcohol and substance abuse, sex as a coping mechanism, self-harm, guilt, suicidal thoughts, and emotional numbness.

The story touches on mental health struggles, including depression, panic attacks, flashbacks, and agoraphobia.

Manipulation and control are central themes, featuring forced hypnosis/coercion, manipulation, and mind games (including coerced abstinence from alcohol and Hypnotism taking part in the bedroom).

Additionally, there is sexual content, as well as depictions of sexual harassment and attempted assault. Other themes include homophobia and internalized homophobia, medical vulnerability (use of hearing aids), underage drinking and drug references, smoking, and cigarette littering. Consensual somnophilia is depicted, as well as discussions about being child-free by choice, including references to sterilization. Lastly, contrary to my other books, there is somewhat of a marriage—it’s Vegas, after all.

The magic tricks, sleight of hand, and illusions described in this book are grounded in the principles of modern-day magic, hypnotism, and advanced techniques currently used by magicians, mentalists and illusionists.

While some may seem fantastical, they are possible with the right equipment, expertise, and showmanship.

As the saying goes, a magician never shares their secrets, so let the magic pull you in.
