Marcus Morelli rules the underbelly of Blackthorn. He rules alongside the rival Santoro family. However, when a high stakes bet lands his best friends sister Chloe Santoro, in his lap, everything as he knows it changes. These two are stuck together for sixty days and she is very much off limits as his best friend’s sister. But also because she is engaged even if it is an engagement and marriage arranged by her parents. You are going to absolutely love getting to know Marcus and Chloe. Chloe however is the one that steals the show in this book. She is a strong and fierce. These two have some great banter with each other. I loved how their chemistry bleeds off the pages. I love that his book was not a fast paced romance but a slow burn that will have you turning the pages and absolutely anticipating what is going to happen between them. Chloe does not have an easy past. She hasn’t really dealt with and gotten over it. With Marcus beside her she is able to do just that. An unexpected surprise was Marcus two best friends, Jake and Miles. I loved getting to know them and I really can’t wait to see more of them throughout this series.
You do not want to miss this book. I loved it and can’t wait for more of this series.
