Review:
I think that there is so much more to the story than you get from the synopsis and I enjoyed it. It was filed with emotion, suspense, drama, and romance.
Adam and Sophia had been best friends from the time they were in diapers until tragedy struck. Sophia has a personal tragedy and it caused her to spin out of control. Adam couldn’t handle watching her self-destruct so he walked away from her and their friendship. Four years later Sophia is in college and Adam walks into her classroom. You walk through the fear and anxiety she feels as she reconnects with Adam.
Along with Adam Sophia reconnects with her other best friends Erin her best friend from college and Connor who is Adams brother. I love the way Sophia blossoms and gains strength from her friends. They are a tight group that is always there for her and she needs the support system. Throughout the book there are many intense situations that test Sophia and her relationship with Adam as well as the rest of the group. I’m going to leave it at that because I don’t want to give anything away 😉
This book is written from Sophia’s POV and I felt like I was looking into her diary and reading about her life. At times I feel like she was too much in her head and she was over-thinking everything. However, I did feel as if I could feel her love, fear, and anxiety as I was reading. Feeling how she did made me route for her and fear along with her and smile at the romantic moments.
There is sooo much more to this story that I can’t share with you without spoiling it for you. I say grab it and see if Adam and Sophia can get past their friendship and all of the challenges that keep coming between then and see if they have their happily ever after.
