One summer to make the choice of a lifetime…
Everything is waiting in Paris for Autumn—her new home, her mom, the Louvre, and a life where she can experience art, and not just look at it. But to get there, she’ll have to survive the summer in the least colorful place she can imagine — her father’s Oklahoma cattle ranch
Autumn finds the perfect summer distraction in Colt, the one cowboy hotter than the July sun. But Colt is her father’s ranch hand, and he won’t go for the Manhattan-style fling that she’s used to. The closer they become, the more she questions which side of the ocean she belongs.
Then her father reveals an unforgivable secret, and Autumn’s illusions shatter. Will the secret destroy everything? Or could Oklahoma hold the greatest masterpiece of all—a love that could mend her heart?
Carla’s Review:
**I was given a copy of this book as a gift from Stephanie’s
Book Reports in exchange for an honest review.
Autumn has her life planned out- she is moving to Paris with her mother,
and she is very excited to experience some of the most talented artistic
pieces of all times. However, there is one problem. She has to make a pit
stop at her dad’s ranch in Oklahoma for the summer. After she meets Colt,
the super hot cowboy who works on the ranch, she decides that having a
fling with him will help the time go by a lot quicker. She is surprised
when she finds out that Colt is not looking for a quick hook up. He wants
someone he can have a relationship with. She and Colt become friends, and
she begins to trust him.
Her dad reveals some long kept secrets to her, and these secrets have the
power to destroy all of the happy memories from her childhood. On top of
parent’s secrets, she learns that Colt has secrets of his own, She is
faced with some life changing decisions. Can she bring herself to accept
the secrets that have been revealed and forgive those who lied to her, or
will she just ran away to Paris and forget that her life in Oklahoma ever
existed.?
This is a really great story. I loved the characters so much and found
myself hoping they would each find their happily ever after. If you
haven’t read this book, you need to! I promise you will not be
disappointed!
