Christianna Thomas’ life was boring. When her sister Alexandra convinces her that it’s time to live a little, she embarks on a night out but manages to retain no memory of the event.
She contents herself, however, with her new career as a writer – something she’s always wanted. During an event held for her father, she comes face to face with a man she thought she’d only seen in her dreams.
Nicholas Prescotti, too, has been haunted by that night and this woman he’s only seen in flashes he doesn’t believe are real. It took one moment for Nicholas to see Christianna for the memories of that mysterious night to come flooding back.
As they find in each other something they never could have anticipated, their lives are overshadowed by the danger that threatens them both.
When Christianna learns of the truths and dangers, will she leave Nicholas or will she discover that she can’t walk away?
Born to an Italian Mother and Filipino father, she grew up with a book in hand. Ashlee found her writing bug early on as a young child. Writing short stories and vignettes for fun.
As she got older she found herself immersed in a passion for reading again. It was the book Fifty Shades of Grey that brought a renowned love for the written word. Swallowing every book she could get her hands on while befriending Authors and eventually becoming a beta reader and helping Authors work out critical scenes and help with plot progression.
What stemmed from two women with and idea, gave way to the story Finding Salvation.
Being friends with Elizabeth Hayes is unlike any other friendship she’s had. They laugh at the same things, their ideas mirror one another at the same time their brains seem to work hand in hand.
Elizabeth once told Ashlee that we needed a great story, unlike anything that’s been written, something that follows real life than fantasy.
In truth, Finding Salvation isn’t the lives that Elizabeth & Ashlee have lived. But they are bits and pieces of lives, others have had. And they’re not afraid to show how the other half lives.
And one day hopes to tell the world the story about Nine times in one night. <3

Carla’s Review:

exchange for an honest review.
4 stars for Can’t Walk Away by Ashlee Taylor.
Christianna Thomas is a beautiful woman who is living a very dull life.
After much badgering from her sister, Christianna agrees to having a night
out on the town. Blaming it on too much alcohol, she wakes up the next
morning with no memory of the night before. Soon after, she begins having
sex filled dreams starring a man whom she has never met before or has she?
While attending a dinner in honor of her father, she comes face to face
with her mystery man.
Nicholas Prescotti is the heir to an Italian mobster. He has always been a
love ’em and leave ’em kind of guy, but over the past seven months, he has
been having flash backs of a beautiful woman. Because he has no
recollection of ever meeting this woman, he assumes that she is not real.
However, that all changes the night that he gets his first glimpse of
Christianna Thomas. After meeting, they each begin to recall the night
that they spent together. They begin a relationship, and it doesn’t take
long for the two to fall in love. When danger from outside forces emerge,
Christianna must decide if she will continue with the relationship or walk
away forever.
I really enjoyed this story. The characters were well developed, and I had
no trouble connecting with them. I would have given this story a five star
rating, but there were editing issues that stunted the flow for me. With
that said, I will say that Ashlee Taylor is a talented writer, and I will
not let the editing issues with this book prevent me from reading more from
her in the future.
