I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.

Rock Me was a quick and easy read for me.  I enjoyed how the characters interacted.  It’s only 145 pages so it’s relatively short.  Summer Michelle is a rising pop star.  She’s one that precipice that could push her career either way.

Then she starts getting threats.  Serious enough ones the studio hires a bodyguard for her.  Not just any bodyguard though.  The one that got away.  Ben Hollander is determined not to get involved with the talent again this time.  He learned it has very bad results if he does.  But there’s something about Summer he just can’t shake.  She’s his one and only.  But the job is what he lives for.

The two play this love tug-a-war that will have you thinking “just get it on already.”  HA!  Many factors play into this story – the major one being the threats that keep coming in against Summer and trying to solve who’s pushing the letter.

Once it becomes life or death Ben pulls all the stops to save the woman he loves.  You just hope he’s there in time!  Being true to his profession but not his heart Ben is miserable without her.  But how can he fit in her life?  He’s just a simple bodyguard and she’s Summer Michelle.  Silly Ben.  Like Summer’s has ever cared what you did for a living.  She’s just not that kind of girl.  Material things don’t seem to be her thing…but a love of the heart definitely is.
