Axel Wainwright. British rock god. Bad boy. He sets the crowds on fire with his voice and his words. Singing back up for him is my dream job. My big chance to get recognized and become a star. Music is my life and now it consumes me. He consumes me. But I have my career to think about; I’ve worked years for this. I need to keep my distance from Axel, or he will burn me to ashes. Except, guess what? The best-laid plans have a habit of going wrong. My name is Phoenix Johnson, and, like Icarus, I’ve flown too close to the sun.
Axel Wainwright is the lead singer for the band ChiMera. He is everything you would expect and alpha male rock star to be. This band is tight and they consider themselves more of a family than a band. However Axel is going through some rough times. Phoenix doesn’t meet Axel in the best of circumstances. These two have a story to tell, that’s for sure. It is fill with sex, drugs and rock and roll and will have you reading as fast as you can. There is also some love, lust, loss and lots of secrets and I do not want to give any of those secrets away. Rock star romances are not my favorite kind of books to read and I’ve never figured out why but Rock Star was a good book told in duel points of views which I do love. This is one that I am sure a lot of you are going to love.
