I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

If you love Moulin Rouge, then you will be excited to know that this is a retelling but with a Mafia twist in it. It is the story of Kian and Lacey. I will go ahead and tell you that once you start this book you are not going to want to lay it down. If you love dark romances then this is also right up your alley. Lacy is a girl who is in a spot none of us ever want to be in. She is about to marry Monroe because her father owes him a debt since he was able to get her out of prison. However that is not what Kian is going to allow to happen at all. He steals her one night. He is the one she was really suppose to marry and he is taking her back no matter what. These two in face have already been married but she has had to keep it a secret because of the mess her father was in. However they didn’t just meet and fall in love and decide to get married. But I won’t tell you have it all actually happens. You need to discover that by yourself and know that Monroe is not going to stay for his bride to be disappearing on him. Especially since her father wouldn’t be a free man from prison if it wasn’t for him. This books has twists and turns and will keep you reading well past your bed time. I will tell you that I could not stand Monroe. He has got to the the most just yucky character I have ever read about. He is absolutely horrible to Lacey and you are going to not like him as much as I did. Ugh gives me the willies just thinking about him now. He makes your skin crawl. Lacy and Kian have quite the story to tell.
