This is my favorite book of this series so far. Each book can be read as a stand along. The main characters switch each time but you’ll see them pop up as secondary characters in the others.
Royally Yours follows the story of Queen Lenora and how she was able to rule and marry for love in a time when that didn’t happen often. Edward Rourke carries a title. One he didn’t want so he chose to leave and backpack the world to see how others lived. How could he help. His little brother picked up the title when their father passed and he quickly became Lenora’s best friend.
As with anything there’s politics in running a country. One must align themselves with people they can mostly trust. It’s even harder for a Queen to find a man she can trust to marry. I mean it takes a special man to be able to bow down to his wife, walk in her shadow, and always be second to her country.
I enjoyed reading Lenora coming into her own and finding her right path. There’s several times you might find yourself wanting to shake a few characters. If you love royal stories I’m sure you’ll love this one too. Emma Chase crafted a great love story that includes stealthy maneuvers and quick whit.
