This is a dark mafia romance. You will want to heed the warnings in the beginning of the book. I also has a Beauty and the Beast feeling to it. It is the story of Luca Velentino and Stella Esposito. He is on the throne of the mafia underworld in New York City. He is ruthless and no one crosses the man. Stella meets this man when her father gets in debt to the wrong people. Her father who she thinks would never do something so horrible as to offer up his daughter for his debts, does just that. From the moment he sees her he is hooked, her, not so much. However this is their love story and the man would gladly fall to his knees for her. I really loved these characters and they have quite the story to tell. If you love dark mafia romances, you do not want to miss this one.
