One night. No names. No numbers. That is the deal we make. After tonight, I’ll never see him again, and I want to leave town with zero regrets. But, a year and a half later, I’m back with a secret I’m terrified to tell. Turns out the guy from that one reckless night is football royalty. One of Sun Valley’s infamous Devils. I didn’t tell him I was moving. And he isn’t someone who handles rejection well. Something I realize when I bump into him at my new school. Sun Valley High. Home of the Devils. And he decides to give me a lesson in why you never cross a Devil.

Renee’s Five Star Review

I received a copy of this audiobook to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

This is the second book in the Devils of Sun Valley High Series from Daniela Romero. But you can listen to this book as a standalone. It is also a high school sports, enemies to lovers romance book that contains some themes of bullying. I wouldn’t say that I would consider this book to be a dark book. I read a lot of dark books and this one if compared to some I read isn’t that dark at all.
This is the story of Emilio and Bibianos story. Emilio is one of the Devils of Sun Valley High. He and his crew are the footballs stars who have also earned full rides to college. Emilo is the son of a drunk father who might come home once a week, but when he does he is really abusive and his mother is no longer in the picture. He does however have a younger sister that he really worries about his father taking his anger out on her. He and her brothers no longer live in the same place as their father and this really weighs on him heavily at times.
Bibiana is a girl who wants nothing more than to get rid of her virginity before she has to move away. She knows that the perfect place to do this is at a party and it would only be one night with no questions asked. So when she finds the hottest guy at the party showing interest in her she goes for it and gets more than she ever bargained for and then she moves away. Now though she is back and the second she sees Emilio at the public school she now has to attend instead of the academy she was in she knows that he is the guy she spent that one fateful night with. To Emilio Bibi is the girl that gave him one of the most amazing nights of his life and ghosted him. To say he isn’t happy to see her again and is going to make her pay is a understatement.
I really loved listening the this book. I thought that the narrator did the most amazing job. I am sometimes not the biggest fan of just one person narrating a book because I don’t like the way that they do the man voices at times. But this one didn’t drive me nuts with that.

About the Daniela Romero

Daniela Romero is a Snarky AF, Latinx Author, who happens to also be a Mom of 3. Born and raised in sunny California, she now makes her home in the Pacific Northwest and is happy to enjoy all four seasons even if the snow can sometimes be a bit much. She hates cheese–of all kinds–and yes that means she orders cheeseless pizza. Daniela is an ENTJ all the way which means she loves to talk (a lot) and is probably as extroverted as they come so feel free to shoot her a message, send a raven, throw up smoke signals. Whatever it may be. She love’s chatting with readers so feel free to stalk her. No really!
