I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.
This is the story of Christian and Kinley. They have been together for twenty years and were high school sweethearts and eventually got married. But the marriage they thought would be forever is no imploding and Kinley is not coping with the pressure very well at all. She wants a divorce so she can stop feeling the weight of the guilt she carries from thinking that she is the reason their marriage in now broken. Christian is a successful OBGYN and is not at all your typical doctor. He has a mouth on him and is filled with tattoos. He is able to make a good living and buy a mansion his wife a really expensive car and their yacht. Kinley is a English Professor who has not had the best life and was raised by an alcoholic mother. A girl who starved and begged for food because her mother could not provide it and she survived mainly with the help of her best friend Jax until at fifteen Christian enter the picture and became her rock. But when the man you love lets her career take over his life what is his lonely wife to do when the marriage and herself are suffering? I loved these characters and I’d be lying if I said my heart didn’t break many times for them but I really loved this story and I think it is on that a lot of people will enjoy reading.
