Renee’s Four Star Review
Everyone has a story about a broken heart, but Jaymerson’s heart wasn’t just broken. It was completely shattered. Along with her body and mind. Jaymerson Holloway had it all-until one moment. One bad decision. A split second and her life was altered forever. Faced with unimaginable grief and guilt, while learning to simply walk again. Jaymerson realizes she will never be the same. Everyone wants her to get back to who she was before. But nothing of her old life feels real to her anymore. The only one who understands what she is going through is someone who has always been cruel to her and someone she hated. the other survivor. Hunter Harris is totally off-limits and full of secrets. Though each blame the other, they ware the only ones to help start to repair their shattered lives. But as the undeniable pull between them intensifies, she starts to wonder if she will ever learn the secrets he’s been hiding-or if she even wants to.
This book has all the feels so get ready to experience each and every one of them. Jaymerson is a teenager living the life with the popular friends, cheerleading and a football hero for a boyfriend. All that changes after one bad decision and she is left to figure out who she really is and what it is exactly she wants. Hunter is the tattooed bad boy who is also an outcast. Their are always rumors about him and his adventures. However, after a horrendous night the truth about Hunter is slow revealed. Jaymerson may just find more than she can handle in Hunter’s truth. It is also the time when Jaymerson rebels. None of her friends or family understands her anymore. They simply want the old Jaymerson back. Things however are not that simple. This is the journey of Jaymerson and finding out who she truly is and what she was meant to be. Like I said before this is a super emotional read and I really enjoyed it. I am pretty sure since this was the first book in a series that we will get more of Hunter and Jaymerson because it doesn’t end with a happily ever after but a happily for now. One thing that did kind of drive me nuts was it took a while for me to get into this book. I felt like it was so slow in the beginning but then when it gets going it really gets going so don’t give up if you find yourself too thinking this book is slow.
