This is a M/M age gap shifter romance. This is the fifth book in the series but it can be read without reading the other books. It is a complete standalone. I am not a huge paranormal reader either but I say that then if K. Webster writes it I read it. If you have read any of the Brigs Ferry Bay books then you will be so excited for the cameo’s in this book. I loved that these two places are so close together. I never would have thought of that. Cryus is the alpha male of the pack who found Remy as a young has no clue what he is doing and about to die wolf. He is protective and caring. But he took him in nursed him back to health and made him a member of his pack. There is a 18 year age gap between them and things are starting to change. Remy is a bratty emotional and smart baby of the pack. He watched his mom and sister get killed and that tragedy made him mute but his personality really shows through. He loves the pack though and they are now his family but he has that they are super protective and don’t let him explore. After all the guy can read minds and he knows what the pack think of him. But when danger is looming and Remy turns eighteen everything changes. Newcomers are here and they are suspicious and one of them is attracted to Remy but Cy has to keep him at by. There is so much that happens in this book but I was hooked from the first page and couldn’t put it down.
