Soft Like Thunder is set in a college world. Helen “Hells” Ortega is the female character we all like to read about and she sure does like quiet the impression. She is loyal and fierce, stubborn and man she has a mouth on her at times that is filled with snarky remarks but she really is on bad to the bone character. After all she has already lived through the worst that life has to offer and survived every single second of it. In Savage U she has found her ticket out of the trailer park and in to a new life for her and her sister Luc. With all the things, complicated things, she has going on she really doesn’t have time for Theo Whitlock in the middle of all this. However there is just no way in the world she can deny her attraction to him. He is a rich frat boy who is a little on the lost side of really unsure of the direction his life is going in and what he wants to do with his life. After all he let everyone else make his choices and he found himself drowning in a all the expectations from everyone else and not himself. But the moment he sets his eyes on Helen Ortega he is very intrigued with her. Now in the same college the time he spends with his little tiger, a spark in his heart and the need to change his life and get the control he has lost back. He just isn’t sure if it is enough to stand beside his tiger or be the hero she needs when she needs it.
This story was absolutely amazing and I couldn’t put it down. It is a book that steals your heart because you fall so in love with all the characters and you just have to know what is going on. I really loved the way the book is written too and plays like a little movie in your head as your reading.
