Every royal has their dirty little secret. His was… me.
It should have been simple.
Go to the ball, meet the prince, and secure his patronage for my favorite charity.
But beneath the mask, the brooding beast of a man was not at all who I expected.
He was dark and intense and eerily quiet.
When I left, I could still feel the ghost of his touch branded into my skin.
He haunted my dreams, but I never expected to see him again.
Then he came for me.
And he took me.
And I learned that his darkness was a void I never could have conceived.
He’s the crown prince of Norway.
And, now, I’m his captive.

Renee’s Five Star Review:
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

Welcome to a new Sinister Fairy Tale. I am loving this series and am a fan of these retelling of the fairy tales you know and love. This is a retelling of Cinderella and let me tell you that it is amazing and dark and steamy. Ella has lost her mother at a young age and has to move from France to England with her father and he remarries her stepmom who to no ones surprise is horrible. She and her two daughters hate Ella. A simple promise of a train ride will change Ella’s life forever or so she thought. Now involved with an animal rescue farm she volunteers whenever she can and loves it so much. But it is in danger of shutting down if they don’t find some funds. Ella love her heart, keeps writing to the prince to see if he will support the charity and she fears when she hears nothing that he is not getting them so she plans to attend the masquerade ball he is holding. Thank goodness her friend Ella has a ticket and gives it to Ella when she can not go. This is where she will meet Thor. The next in line for the thrown and he is well hated and a jerk or epic proportion. Now that is all I am going to tell you about the story as I don’t want to give anything away. What happens next is dark and gritty and will surprise you. I loved this book and just could not get enough of it. I hope you all give this story and the entire series a chance.
