Sucker Punch by Alta Hensley Release & Review

This is a dark, why choose romance. It will go ahead and warn you that this book is so good. You will not be able to lay this book down. This is the story of Ari, Bones, Lotto and Frankie. She has inherited her fathers world famous boxing gym. However, people are now leaning more toward cage fighting and she needs a fighter to sign up with her gym and go to the matches and put her on the map as the gym to train in. She can’t let the place she loves more than anything in the world be bought out from under her. She and Frank or “Freak Show”, who is a former cage fighter are looking so this fighter but being one himself he is not thrilled about the gym changing and taking a huge risk. But he even more so isn’t thrilled with her pick when she finds him. Bones Vega could have had it all, until he got in a mess he couldn’t get out of and ruined his own career. He was on his way to the top at that point and would love a second chance that no one is willing to give him. That is until Ari. However, if he comes to her gym so does his manger Lotto. These two are the best of friends and have been so for as long as they can remember. There is also a lot going on with Bones that I will let you discover as you read. However, you will not be putting this book down. I was so hooked on this story. I so hope there are many more like it coming out way. I know this was a stand alone but I would love to spend a lot more time with these characters, or in this world. Ari is just a great girl all the way around. She might be little and beautiful but that girl is tough as nails and she knows what she wants and is not afraid to go after it. She is also attracted to three men, two that hate each other and one that is the take control kind of guy who makes her feel safer than she has since her father died. Bones has been through so much and yes, it is his fault that he is going though the things he has to go through. However, Ari is the first girl to catch his eye in a long time and he is not shy about going after what he wants. Frankie and Ari have been there for each other through everything you can think of. These two have the cor relationship but it is certainly a fight and make up kind of thing. Lotto is the brains of the operation along with Ari. He has taken care of Bones in every way you can imagine for the longest time and he has a heart made of gold. I could go on and on and on about this book. I loved it so much and know that it is one I will re-read many times.
