“CD Reiss writes dark mafia romance like no other. Dario is the anti-hero of all anti-heroes.” —Serena Akeroyd, author of The Filthy Series

Take Me, an all-new forced marriage, mafia romance from New York Times bestselling author C.D. Reiss is now available!

Mafia King, Dario Lucari spent years planning his revenge. Today, he executes it. Kidnapped on my wedding day. Held by a monster who wants vengeance on my father. Married to him against my will. Suddenly thrust into a world of betrayal, lies and deviance, all I have to do to escape is destroy everything I’ve ever loved, and love the man I must destroy.

Renee’s Five Star Review I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.
This is a dark romance and the first book in a new trilogy. This book will contain triggers for some readers and you will want to take the authors notes every seriously before diving in to this book. Gosh I don’t even know if I know how to review this book and not say something that will give something away in this story. You will devour this book. I can tell you that much. I know that I did. I don’t think I laid it down one time while I was reading. Sarah is a girl who has grown up sheltered and very cared for but she really wasn’t prepared for anything in the real world. She is basically a lamb raised amidst wolves but she has no clue that is the case. I don’t think there was a single person that she loved that didn’t let her down. Then you have Dario who is a monster among monsters and has been planning his revenge against Sarah’s father. He sure is driven, cold and determined in his mission. He is one of the most ruthless character’s that I think I have ever read. Nothing and no one is going to stop him from goal and there has never been a person alive who has touched his heart or made him weaver in his goal of revenge. Then along came Sarah. The girl who is suppose to be a mean to an end and he is stumped to when things changed for him. I do not want to say more about the story except that it is one that is filled with twists and turns, will break your heart and be a book you do not put down no matter what is going on.

About CD Reiss CD Reiss is a New York Times bestseller. She still has to chop wood and carry water, which was buried in the fine print. Her lawyer is working it out with God but in the meantime, if you call and she doesn’t pick up she’s at the well hauling buckets. Born in New York City, she moved to Hollywood, California to get her master’s degree in screenwriting from USC. In case you want to know, that went nowhere but it did give her a big enough ego to write novels. She’s frequently referred to as the Shakespeare of Smut which is flattering but hasn’t ever gotten her out of chopping that cord of wood. If you meet her in person, you should call her Christine.

About Renee Henson

Renee Henson has an obsession with reading and reviewing. Especially anything that is a dark romance, fairy tale retelling, MC, and is trying her best to love the PNR worlds. Nothing is quiet as exciting to her as reading a good book and then talking about it or making comments while reading with her friends that have read the book too. She is always happiest with her kindle in her hand and her nose is a book. She has been reviewing for Stephanie's Book Reports for over ten years.
