The Confidence of Wildflowers
by Micalea Smeltzer is live!

My future is a big ‘what if’ at the moment and I’m fine with that.
For the most part.
When Thayer Holmes moves in next door, the grumpy landscaper both fascinates and amuses me.
When he asks me to nanny his kid, it’s a great way to make some extra money.
It’s impossible not to fall in love with Thayer and his adorable son.
There’s a big problem though.
I’m eighteen. He’s thirty-one.
Falling for someone almost fifteen years older than me wasn’t part of my plans, but sometimes things happen when you least expect them.

Renee’s Five Star Review

I received a copy of this book form the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

I love to read a good age gap book. I was in the mood for a fun lighthearted one too. I tend to read a lot of darker books and sometimes a girl needs a break. Well…I didn’t get a fun lighthearted age gap book. I got one that left me a crying mess when the end was happening. I think I am still shocked at the ending of this book really. Talk about a major book hangover. This one has a huge one. This is though the story of Salem and Thayer. Salem has been though a lot in her eighteen years and she deserves everything good in the world. She is still having some hart times but she is such a strong female character that doesn’t at times read like she would be eighteen. I felt like she was the super mature one at times reading this book. Thayer is the most charming character I have read in quiet a while. He though has lived through some serious heartbreak and that is all I can say about that. But, he does have the cutest little boy in the world. He is also a landscaper a kind of grumpy landscaper who has just move in to the house next door to Salem. Salem’s feels like her life is full of big fat ‘what ifs’ right now but when Thayer moves in she is immediately fascinated by him. But when he asks her to be the nanny for his son things really get interesting. I can’t forget about Thayer’s son!!!! He really makes your heart melt. I loved their journey and my heart broke a few times but I’m telling you, you need to buckle up for the end. I don’t even know what to say about it really, if I could even say anything about it. Even with the shock and tears this is a beautiful book that I am so glad I got to read. I can’t wait to know what happens next.

About Renee Henson

Renee Henson has an obsession with reading and reviewing. Especially anything that is a dark romance, fairy tale retelling, MC, and is trying her best to love the PNR worlds. Nothing is quiet as exciting to her as reading a good book and then talking about it or making comments while reading with her friends that have read the book too.
