BLURB West Goldenโso easy to hate, yet so hard to resist. Donโt let that pretty face of his fool you. He isnโt the boy next door, or the kind you trust with your heart. Heโs the devil in designer jeans, with all the charm of a bona fide psycho. Trust me. He swears I did something to cross him before I even stepped foot inside Cypress Prep, but itโs a lie. No one knows better than me that Iโm all out of chances. One more misstep and I can kiss my future goodbye, which means I canโt possibly be guilty of whatever he thinks Iโve done. West marks me with a target anyway, and as this townโs football star, no one dares to go against him. His money, status, and the loyalty of his equally entitled brothers makes him seem untouchable. Only, I know better than that. This false god isnโt infallible like he wants the world to believe. Whenever I stare into those devilish green eyes, I see it plain as day. The chink in his armor. His one and only weakness. Me. The King of Cypress Prep has finally met his match and taking him down just became an inside job. PURCHASE LINK Amazon Universal: https://books2read.com/u/bpr0Yz

I am going to go ahead and warn you that once you pick this book up you are not going to be able to put it down. This is the story of a girl from the wrong side of the track and a guy who is dubbed King Midas at the prep school he attends. West and Blue. Their first encounter is at a party and she sees him sitting on what looks like a throne through the fire of a fire pit and he notices her too and seems to be on his way to her when he is intercepted by another girl but that doesn’t stop Blue from thinking about the rotten luck she has. You see this poor girl is poor and I mean dirt poor. Her mother ran off, her dad stays drunk, her older brother is in prison and if she doesn’t work and pay for food they don’t eat. But one good thing about it that she is looking forward to is the scholarship she has received from Cypress Prep and the opportunities that will present. She is a tough girl from the wrong side of the tracks and Wes is attracted to her until he discovers something in his father’s safe. This is the big secret of the entire book, that and a warning from her brother. When he discovers this though Wes plans to destroy her and what a better way to do that than to discover her in the senior line of his school going to orientation and the guy and his two brothers don’t wait to strike. I felt so sorry for Blue. She really is a good girl who just has a rough life and who never asked for any of this to happen. I have so many questions after devouring this book. To say I need the next book in my hands right now is an understatement. I can’t wait to see where the story takes us next.
