The Scandals of Live by K.L. Humphreys Release Review

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

Rule number one: Don’t sleep with the clients. Escorting was supposed to be a short-term job to pay the bills. It wasn’t meant to lead to heartache. For Stefanie Wiley, love was never in the cards until she met James Moore. Being an escort was taboo but fall for James was downright scandalous. He blew through her life like a tornado, leaving a path of destruction in his wake-a path she isn’t sure she can recover from. Second chances aren’t something Stefanie believes in but when truths are unveiled and lie are exposed, she has to decide whether to guard her heart or take a leap of faith.

This book had me from the first sentence. I’m pretty sure that I didn’t put it down until I was finished either. These characters are some your going to fall in love with right off the bat and your going to be so invested in them. This is the story of a woman doing what she has to do to survive. Then you have James who has some messed up things that he didn’t deserve happening in his life. He too is carrying around a huge secret that will have a huge affect on Stefanie. This is the story of two strong people doing what they have to do to survive this crazy world and the things thrown out of them. I wish I had read book one. They are standalone’s but I just felt like maybe there was some things I had missed by not reading that book. However I didn’t let it take away from this one.
