BLURB
An ancient curse. Two families bound. A forbidden love.
When the Wildbloods presented their daughters to me on the night of the Tithing, they knew what was to come for the chosen girl.
The crescent moon that marked Willow made her mine. I had no choice but to take her.
Destiny determined our fates long before we were born, laying our roles out for us.
A Sacrifice would be made. A Tithe paid. Only then would our families be free, at least until the next payment came due.
I would have done my duty as Penitent. I tried.
But no one counted on the lion falling in love with the lamb.
And loving Willow could cost me everything.
Renee’s Five Star Review
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

This is the first book in The Sacrifice Duet. It is the story of Willow and Azrael. It is also a dark romance and you will want to check the warnings in the beginning of the book.
Years and years ago the Delacroix family believed they were cursed by a Wildblood Witch. The tradition of The Tithing has happened for years and years. The oldest Delacroix and the marked Wildblood take place no matter what. There is to be a sacrifice from them both and they know it. Willow is a girl that carries the mark and Azrael is the oldest of the Delacroix siblings. Azrael is haunted by nightmares of the past and a ring that appears on his finger that he swears he doesn’t put there. He knows tragedy from his parents just disappearing and presumed dead to his twin brother taking his own life. He has a horrible grandmother that came to raise him and his siblings when his parents were gone. He also has a sister that is very sick and I am telling you that something is not right about that situation. Willow is the oldest Wildwood and has the mark on her chest. Is she a witch? You have to read to find that out. She is a girl who loves her family and has known about the sacrifice she is going to have to make for a very long time and is not going to let any of her sister suffer because she shirked her responsibilities. However she is receiving threatening notes and a group of fanatics is after her. However she doesn’t tell her husband. There is a lot going on in this book and you will not lay it down once you pick it up. I was so hooked on this book and hanging on every world. I loved it so much and can’t wait to get the second book in my hands. I so need to know what is going to happen right now.
