This is the third book in the Apex Tactical Series. Each book can be read as a standalone. This is the story of Avery. She has had her heart broken. Shattered into a million pieces by the two men she loved more than anything in the world. However, now she has returned and Hawke and Creed do not have the reaction she was expecting to her return. They demand to know why she has returned but she can never tell them her secret. After all she has been hiding it for many many years. This secret has caused nothing but trouble and led to the events that no one would have predicted. Who will she have one her side when all is said and done? And if they do, will all be forgiven? I loved Avery. The girl has never ever had an easy life. Things have happened that have caused her pain and an event of the past has left her haunted. But the truth of it all from her men caused her the most pain and she really tried so hard to overlook it for the sake of the love they shared. I don’t even know why Avery really worried about what Hawke and Creed thought. Even after she returned I think I would have found me some better man or men to love me the way I deserved to be loved and not put up with the stupid things these two dummies do. They really should have bowed down and begged her for forgiveness not the other way around. This was a great read even though I was not the biggest fans of the main male characters. Ugh, they were so frustrating.
