The Words by Ashley Jade: Release and Review

This is a second chance romance. And it is long but in all honestly I was turning the pages so much I didn’t even realize I was done and it surprised me that I had finished. This is the story of Lennon and Phoenix. They first meet when they are in high school and he is the bad boy from the wrong side of the tracks. She is a girl who is always bullied for her weight but seems to have a perfect life. Now just shame on the bullies!!!! How horrible some people can be. I just can’t even with a bully but she sure is bullied until Phoenix and her become friends. A very unlikely friendship but it is one of the best friendships none the less. After all they spend quiet a bit of time together when Lennon agrees to tutor Phoenix and as they get to know each other more and more it sure turns into more than just friendship. But, then one day the guy totally shatters her heart and I could have thrown my kindle up again the wall. Why Phoenix why!!!! Fast forward four years and Phoenix is a famous rockstar who has a real problem with women, drugs and partying. He is spiraling and surely is going to crash and burn soon. But thank goodness he has a great manager who is really concerned for him and wants to keep him out of the tabloids and back on the straight and narrow and the manager reaches out to Lennon for help. Now here is where she could have said no, no way in the world am I helping that jerk, but that just isn’t how Lennon is hardwired. It also helped probably that she was offered a ton of money and an chance at revenge. So she all set to go on a eight week tour and keep her eyes on Phoenix and his band for that time. So two damaged character for different reasons and eight weeks. What could possibly go wrong. And as I reader I suggest you might wanna tie your kindle to your wrist so you don’t accidently throw it against a wall. Man they really put you through a ringer. There is heartache and pain, betrayal and mistakes and a whole heaping pile of angst. So angst lovers rejoice you are about to get a hole pile of it and love every second of it. I’d be lying it I didn’t say I was frustrated with both these guys at times, but isn’t that the fun of reading in the first place and if I’m not really going through it with the characters well that is just boring and no one wants that. I also have to admit and this might be shocking but I am not the biggest fans of rockstar romances. They have to be really really great for me to love this so that should say something about the book right there.
