From the first night I bedded her I knew I was playing with fire. Now I must face the consequence.
I betrayed my best friend. A man who was more a brother to me than my own blood.
And now I fear I have lost her too.
She claims men hold all the power in our world, but she has brought me to my knees. I love her. I know that now. Too little too late.
Breaking a heart is easy. Mending one is more complicated.
But a predator lies in wait of her. And I’ll do anything I must to keep her safe.
Renee’s Five Star Review
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.
This is the final book in The Rite Trilogy You have to read His Rule, and Her Rebellion first or you will be terribly lost.
I was so excited to be back in Mercedes and Judge’s world. After the cliff we got left on in the last book and me almost having heart failure I was so excited to dive back in to this world and find out what was going to happen. So you will know we left with Mercedes being taken and Judge haven just done something for her that she had not a clue about. But things are changing in Mercedes world weather she wants to admit if to herself or not and she’s got to get it together. But what do you do when the man you are crazy in love with doesn’t know your carrying a big secret, your brother is against you, and you have really changed and have to have your freedom for The IVI so that life can be different and you can be free? Well you will find out when you read this book. And it will capture your heart, have you holding your breath makes you get right on up on the edge of your seat and you will not put this book down. I am so hooked on this series Every book about the IVI Society has been so amazing but there is just something super special about being with Mercedes and Judge. I also never in my life thought that Santi could makes me so mad but he really did. No fault of his own as I probably would have done the same thing and he was doing what he thought was best but good gosh it really broke me heart. I loved the growth in Mercedes and Judge and I can’t forget that there just might be something in this book that causes you the most stress and heart pounding this is not good and I can’t believe that just happened kind of thing. I didn’t think I was going to survive it but I did. I can’t say enough about how good this book was. How it was the perfect ending to this series. Like I said Mercedes and Judge really grow but I think with that growth Judge had to realize who he was and what he carries and that just maybe if he trusts in people other than himself then he will be a better man for it. It was amazing to witness and I am so sad that this series is over. I could have stayed in this world forever. But I do hope that there are more books in this world because I am certainly addicted to it.
