Things I Wanted To Say (But Never Did) by Monica Murphy Release and Review
Things I Wanted To Say (But Never Did) by Monica Murphy is now live!
Whit Lancaster burst into my life like a storm. Dark and thunderous, furious and fierce. Cold, heartless and devastatingly beautiful, like the statues in our prep school gardens. The school with his family name on the sign. He can do no wrong here. This is his domain.
He’s a menace on campus. Adored and feared. Hated and respected. His taunting words carve into my skin, shredding me to ribbons. Yet his intense gaze scorches my blood, fills me with a longing I don’t understand.
When I stumble upon him one night alone, I find him broken. Bleeding. My instincts scream to leave and let him suffer, but I can’t. I sneak him into my room. Clean him up. Fall for his lies. Let him possess every single part of me until I’m the one left a gasping, broken mess.
When he leaves me alone in the dead of night, he takes my journal with him.
Now he knows all my secrets. My hate. My truth. And he promises to use my words against me. I’ll be ruined if my darkest secret gets out.
That’s when I strike a bargain with the devil.
I’ll let Whit Lancaster ruin me behind closed doors instead.

Things I Wanted to Say (But Never Did), is a darkish bully romance. The story is about Whit Lancaster and Summer Savage. This poor girl I thought had already been through enough before she even started at the prep school owned by the Lancaster family. But she was well aware of who the Lancaster Family is because of her Mother. When she was younger she begged to go to Lancaster Prep but her mom and stepfather wouldn’t let her. Now she is in her senior year, her life drastically changed and she carries a lot of guilt about things that have happened that she likes to write down in her journal that she is never without. When she starts Lancaster Prep and after a lot of years of first meeting Whit years ago at a party her mother took her too, she knows exactly who he is. He is the King of the school, and he rules it too. But he also decides to make Summer’s life as miserable as possible. No matter what he does or says to her she still holds this attraction to him. After all he is the most beautiful human being she has ever seen. One night though when she is basically attacked by one of Whit’s best friends there is a fight and he actually saves her from the attack but in the process gets hurt in the fight. It’s pouring the rain and he can barely move. She knows she should leave him right where she is but this girl has a huge heart and takes pity upon him to help him so they end up back in her room where she cleans him up and things might take a turn to the intimate side but then he steals her journal and slithers away into the night. This is his blackmail. She has to do whatever he says whenever he says it or he will expose the secrets in the journal. This is the beginning of a time in which your going to probably hate Whit or love him and hate him at the same time. But you will be so in love with him by the end of this book and it caught me a little by surprise. I really liked Summer. She got a raw deal in life and is just trying to do the best she can but she also gives as good as she gets at times with Whit. I could talk about this book forever and I want everyone who read this, if you do to get this book and dive right on in. I think this is one of the best bully romances written ever. The story is full of passion, weather it is for the right or wrong reasons, passion drives this book. Whit and Summer have one heck of a story to tell and I devoured it and loved every single second of it. I couldn’t lay it down at all. This story will make you mad, break your heart, have you screaming in your head at them and by the end your just so filled with love for these characters it will be so full and over flowing. This is a beautiful story that has its not so good moments but in the end it is beautiful and that’s the only word I know to use to describe it!! I loved it!! Go get and read this book. I know it is going down on my favorite books of 2021 for sure.

Renee Henson has an obsession with reading and reviewing. Especially anything that is a dark romance, fairy tale retelling, MC, and is trying her best to love the PNR worlds. Nothing is quiet as exciting to her as reading a good book and then talking about it or making comments while reading with her friends that have read the book too. She is always happiest with her kindle in her hand and her nose is a book. She has been reviewing for Stephanie's Book Reports for over ten years.
